History
Mário Novais, natural de Lisboa, 1899 - 1967, começou a sua atividade profissional como retratista na Fotografia Vasquez, nos anos 20 do século XX. Estabeleceu-se por conta própria em 1933, o Estúdio Novaes, em Lisboa, manteve atividade durante 50 anos. Especializou-se na fotografia de obras de arte e arquitetura, desenvolvendo interesse também na fotorreportagem, fotografia publicitária, comercial e industrial.
