History
Médico, académico e investigador, natural de Lisboa, formou-se na Faculdade de Medicina de Lisboa, concluindo a especialidade em Endocrinologia em 1971. Fundou e dirigiu o Serviço de Endocrinologia do Hospital de Santa Maria, fundou e foi o primeiro presidente da Sociedade Portuguesa de Andrologia, igualmente presidiu a Sociedade Portuguesa para o Estudo da Obesidade e o Grupo Ibero-Italo-Latino Americano de Andrologia.
