Fundada em 1946 por Guy Fino e Celestino Peixeiro, torna-se referência na tapeçaria mural decorativa ao adotar uma nova técnica de tecelagem, o "ponto de Portalegre", associando a sua produção a nomes consagrados da arte contemporânea portuguesa e internacional (como Almada Negreiros, Júlio Pomar, Cruzeiro Seixas, Vieira da Silva, Árpád Szenes, Le Corbusier, Álvaro Siza).
