Biographical history
Foi poeta, tradutor e professor do ensino secundário (1956-1976), exercendo funções na Inspeção-Geral do Ensino até à data da sua aposentação. Foi um dos fundadores da revista Árvore e colaborador da Colóquio-Letras. Foi distinguido com o grau de Grande-Oficial da Ordem do Infante D. Henrique em 2008.
