Poeta, editor e crítico de arte holandês. Com ligação ao surrealismo português desde final da década de 1960, nomeadamente através de Mário Cesariny, que veio a conhecer em 1970, com o qual estabeleceu amizade e correspondência ao longo de três décadas.

Artista holandês, dedicou-se à criação de objetos surrealistas e collages, sendo fundador do Bureau des Recherches Surréalistes en Hollande nos anos 1960. Juntamente com Laurens Vancrevel, dirigiu a revista surrealista "Brumes Blondes".
