Fundada no Porto em 1980 por Fernando Marques de Oliveira e por ele dirigida até 1986, foi uma das primeiras galerias a divulgar arte contemporânea. Em 1990 mudou a denominação - Galeria Pedro Oliveira - bem como de instalações para o centro histórico da cidade, onde atualmente dispõe de três salas de exposição.
