Natural de Lisboa, foi desenhador, formado pela Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa em Design de Equipamento. Trabalhou em Design Industrial e foi professor do ensino secundário, fez exposições de pintura e desenho, cursos e conferências e desenvolveu interesse pelo "registo do quotidiano". Referência em Portugal e no mundo pelos diários gráficos ou de viagem, foi um dos fundadores do urbansketching.
